Headbands can be shipped directly to a home.
Headbands are a trendy hair accessory for children and adult women. Their simple shape can allow for monogramming names or initials, embellishment and accommodate large clips such as flowers and butterflies. Headbands come in a variety of different materials and sizes. They are typically handmade or purchased in bulk, personalized and then sold through large and small businesses. Once the headbands sell or are purchased for someone out of town they must be shipped. Shipping the items is a simple procedure once you have the correct packing supplies.
Instructions
1. Pick a box type to accommodate your headband. Corrugated boxes are brown shipping boxes that are used to ship nearly any type of item. They can be purchased individually through office supply companies, or they can be purchased in bulk through wholesale shippers. If you plan to ship a lot of headbands, then consider purchasing in bulk because the price per unit is less than individually priced boxes. There are other options for boxes such as the flat rate boxes found at the United States Postal Service (USPS).
2. Look at the different sizes to determine which size will work best for your headband. To get an accurate measurement, lay the headband on a flat surface and roll one end upwards toward the other end. Shipping the headband rolled with eliminate wrinkles, and allow you to fit in into a smaller box which will lower the shipping cost. The shipping cost is determined by the size of the box and the weight.
3. Assemble the box, if needed, and insert a small piece of tissue paper into the bottom of the box. Wrap the headband in tissue paper for a polished presentation to the recipient. Insert the headband into the box and fill any gaps or wasted space with small pieces of tissue so the headband does not bounce around inside the box.
4. Tape the box up with packaging tape and affix a shipping label to the top. Shipping labels can be purchased online at various shipping companies, the USPS or pre-purchased and printed online.
Tips Warnings
Ship more than one headband using a slightly larger box.
