Office Half Cubicle Halloween Ideas

Don't let the size of your half cubicle stop you from decorating for Halloween.

If your boss allows it, decorate your half cubicle to reflect the delightfully creepy fun of Halloween. Choose a theme for your half cubicle and take a light-handed approach to your cubicle's d#xE9;cor within the limited space allowed. Avoid displaying anything too grotesque (realistic body parts) or too controversial (demonic symbols). You'll also be limited to things that don't nail into the wall, block major traffic zones or distract your coworkers. However, these considerations won't prevent you from displaying your Halloween spirit in your half cubicle.

Creepy Crawly Zone

Use plastic snakes, spiders and cockroaches to turn your office cubicle into a haven for creepy crawly creatures. Use garbage bag ties to affix larger creatures to the top of the half cubicle and around any posts. Wrap rubber snakes around various office fixtures, like your stapler and your chair back. Use double sided tape to stick bugs on your computer, phone and whiteboard. Stretch cottony cobwebs (available at any retail store in October) in the corners and nestle a few plastic spiders there. Set a clear jar of plastic cockroaches on your desk and hang bugs from thread from the ceiling using tape.

Pumpkin Patch

Add some Halloween cheer with orange and green pumpkins. At home, paint happy or scary faces on about a dozen pumpkins of various sizes. Place them around your cubicle---discreetly on the floor, on shelves, on your desk and even a small one on top of your computer. Purchase inexpensive printed paper pumpkin garlands and pin or tape them on the wall, along with a sign that reads Pumpkin Patch. Offer visitors some candy corn and pumpkins from a treat dispenser, but only if they say Trick or Treat.

Halloween Night

Decorate your cubicle in black to create a creepy vibe. Use black streamers along the tops of the half cubicle, and wrap streamers around any posts or columns. Hang paper cutouts of bats from the ceiling with thread, as well as a bright round moon. Cut out a dozen eye shapes out of black construction paper, then color in different creepy eyes with chalk. Tape these around your cubicle, perhaps on your binders, computer screen, phone and drawers. Affix paper tombstones with funny engravings (like I. M. Tired and U. C. Nuthin) at ground level around the inside and outside of the half cubicle.
