TrafficMaster offers a number of floor-construction products, including a premixed, stainproof grout that is easy to install between stone and tiled surfaces. The grout, as its name implies, eliminates the risk of damage caused by stains. So when residue does develop through regular foot traffic, your cleanup requires little work, aside from a basic surface cleaning. You also want the cleaner you use to be safe for the surrounding stone or tile.
Instructions
1. Mix 1 gallon water, 1/4 cup dish soap and an optional 1 cup of white vinegar in a cleaning bucket. Use the vinegar if you want to add an extra disinfecting and deodorizing element when cleaning the grout.
2. Dip a nylon scrub brush into the mixture and scrub over the grout. Continue until all the grout is cleaned.
3. Rinse a cleaning rag under warm water and wipe over the grout to remove any cleaning solution residue.
4. Dry the area with a clean rag, if your stone or grout has a gloss finish, to prevent streaking or water spots. Otherwise, allow the area to air dry.
