Kitchen sink with a faucet sprayer installed.
Removing or hiding the faucet sprayer on your kitchen sink is a simple plumbing procedure. There are several ways to complete this project, but the final step will require covering the hole where the sprayer was located with a snap-in sink cock hole cover.
Instructions
Hiding a Faucet Sprayer
1. Turn off the hot and cold water supply valves. Turn on the hot and cold water taps and drain water. Hold down the spray nozzle handle to drain any remaining water.
2. Place a pot or bucket underneath the sink to catch any remaining water that may drain when the pipe connections are loosened. Unscrew the sprayer nozzle from the flexible supply hose by using your hands to turn the nozzle in a counterclockwise direction. Pull the flexible hose underneath the sink and then reattach the spray nozzle to the hose. Coil the flexible sprayer hose and tie it together with the twist ties or twine.
3. Using your hands or the pliers, unscrew the threaded fitting in the sprayer faucet hole from the underside of the sink and remove it from the hole. Place the snap-in sink cock hole cover over the open hole and press down firmly to snap the cover into place. These covers are available in chrome and metal finishes to match the original sink finish.
4. Turn on the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink.

Using the adjustable wrench, remove the end of the flexible supply hose connected underneath the sink. Wrap the open supply fitting with Teflon tape and thread on the brass cap and tighten with the adjustable wrench.

8. Turn on the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink. Check the brass cap connection for any leaks.
Tips Warnings
Instead of covering the hole with a sink cock hole cover, the hole can be used to install a liquid soap dispenser.
Make sure to measure the fittings on the flexible supply hose so that the brass cap matches the fitting.
If you have difficultly accessing the supply hose connection underneath the sink, you can simply coil the hose and use the brass cap to cap the open end of the hose.
If you follow the directions in Section 1, the hidden spray faucet will still spray water if the handle is activated. Be aware of that when using the space underneath the sink.
