Hide your gifts in the decorations by making a baby carriage centerpiece.
A baby shower is a time for joy in celebrating a new life. Decorations for a baby shower normally also demonstrate a joyful atmosphere. Yet, on a limited budget, it can be difficult to decide between spending money on decorations or on gifts. A baby carriage centerpiece using a wicker basket offers a solution to this dilemma. While the baby carriage is a decoration in itself, it also contains hidden gifts. Make your own wicker basket baby carriage center piece for your next wedding shower to avoid wasting money on throw-away decorations.
Instructions
1. Place the small wicker basket or plastic bowl on its side and insert it inside one end of the larger wicker basket to form the canopy of the baby carriage. Glue the small wicker basket or plastic bowl in place with a glue gun.
2. Cover the canopy with a receiving blanket. Twist a baby sleeper around the handle of the large wicker basket, securing it in place with safety pins. Wrap the base of the large wicker basket with a baby blanket, securing it in place with safety pins.
3. Pin the pair of baby booties to the base of the wicker basket handle.
4. Wrap the baby bottle and baby powder with two baby sleepers. Tie the ends with ribbon. Place them under the large wicker basket for the wheels.
5. Fill the inside of the large wicker basket with other gifts such as a blanket, stuffed animal or baby clothing.
