Health care workers can take courses in phlebotomy to learn to draw blood for laboratory use.
Although there are several phlebotomy programs offered in eastern Colorado, programs in the western half of the state are rare. There are several schools, however, that offer courses covering phlebotomy as part of their nursing or other related medical programs. Students or practicing health care professionals may be able to take part in these courses to enhance their health care skills.
