Armstrong Atlantic State University's College of Health Professions has a medical technology program that leads to the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree. One of the two available tracks for completion is the online ladder track; the other track is the traditional format delivered in the classroom setting. Allied Health Institute offers an online electrocardiograph (EKG) technician program that is designed to train the entry-level technician for work in both inpatient and outpatient medical settings. The program can be completed in six months, and the courses are broken into several modules. In addition to the courses that are required, students must also complete clinical training in a face-to-face environment.
