Florida National College, which first opened in 1988 with one campus in Hialeah, now has multiple locations as well as distance learning using the Internet. The school is accredited to award associate and baccalaureate degrees, but the Hialeah Training Center focuses on short-term training to become an EKG technician, phlebotomy technician, medical assistant, patient care technician or medical coding and billing professional. The center also offers a certificate program in AutoCAD.

American Advanced Technicians Institute (AATI)
For students seeking to enter the automotive industry, AATI offers a technical education and practical training in automotive technology.
