Get Rid Of Fat Dimples

Fat dimples are caused by cellulite, which is a specific form of fat that is structurally harder to eliminate than regular fat. This is why you may see large people with a lot of fat who do not have fat dimples, while other thinner people may have fat dimples all over their body. The most common places to find fat dimples are on the legs and buttocks. Fortunately, these are some of the easiest spots to target when it comes to fat dimple elimination.

Instructions

1. Start lifting weights. A good weight-lifting program will deal with all parts of the body. However, you can put special emphasis on the areas that have cellulite. The best way to get rid of cellulite is to firm up the skin around it by filling up that area with muscle. Squats and lunges are excellent free-weight exercises that will target your gluteal muscles and upper legs, which are the two places on the body most likely to have fat dimples.

2. Treat your skin. While you are attacking your fat dimples from under the skin, supplement your efforts by helping your skin itself get in on the action. Use a moisturizing lotion to help your skin stay smooth and taut. A good moisturizer can, on its own, dramatically reduce the appearance of dimples. Add creams with vitamins A and C for collagen and elastin production to help skin restore its youthful appearance, and you are well on your way to dimple-free skin.

3. Take your vitamins. Healthy skin, and even "healthy" fat, is a result of a healthy body. If your body is not getting all the nutrients it needs, it may be inhibiting your ability to create firm, healthy skin and fat cells. A daily multivitamin is a good start, and vitamins A and C are particularly good for helping your skin function in a youthful manner, retain moisture and recover from damage like stretch marks that can lead to dimples.

4. Get plenty of exercise. While cellulite is far harder to eliminate than regular fat, it will disappear with plenty of exercise as the rest of your fat turns into muscle as well. Daily cardio, as well as lifting weights, will help smooth out those dimples.

5. Eat a healthy, low-fat diet. This will also help you lose weight overall and maintain a healthy physique. Fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats and nuts are the best things for you to eat if you are fighting fat dimples. Remember, since fat dimples afflict overweight and healthy-weight people, just losing weight will not cut it. You must deal with your fat dimples on multiple fronts in order to eliminate them.
