You can check your voice mail when you are not at home.
Verizon voice mail is similar to most mailbox systems. The voice mail allows you to create personalized greetings, check messages and erase messages. However, the Verizon mailbox system offers some additional options typically not available with other voice mail systems.
Access Voice Mail
Enter the home voice mail number to access the voice mail directly from your house. The system asks for a pass code. Dial the pass code to enter your personal home voice mail.
When you are not calling from your house phone, call the home voice mail system access number. After the system picks up, press the # symbol and your house phone number. The system will request you to enter your personal pass code.
Reminder Service
Verizon offers a Reminder Service feature. The feature help you stay on track throughout the day by calling you at the house during a particular date and time you requested. The voice mail system calls to deliver the pre-recorded reminder message that you have programmed.
Enter your personal voice mail to record a reminder message. When you are in the voice mail system, press the number 3 to listen to Reminders or number 1 to record a reminder.
Wake-up
Schedule a wake-up call with the Verizon voice mail system throughout the week. The feature can call you at a set time every day. The wake-up call feature rings your house phone number and plays a pre-record message. The system places a call for up to 30 minutes, if the line is busy and no one answers.
Pager Notification
Verizon Voice Mail system notifies you when a new message is in your voice mail by send an alert to a pager. Activate the Page Notification by entering your Home Voice Mail system. Press the numbers 9, 3 and 2. The system will prompt you to activate or deactivate the page notification. You will need to enter your pager number and a pager personal Identification number if needed. The system allows you to retrieve all new message or message marked urgent. (Reference 1 Page 8)
