Coleman Central Electric Furnace model 3400A816
The fan will not come on. The heating element is working but the fan will only come on if I remove the furnace cover and reverse the switch on the furnace. The fan will not come on if I switch from auto to manual on the t-stat. What can I do? You say you remove a cover on the furnace and reverse the switch. What switch inside the furnace are you reversing that makes it work? In looking at the wiring for this unit. It's controlled by a two wire thermostat. If the thermostat has a FAN ON position on it........it won't do anything. There is a FAN ON switch on the furnace. That is most likely what the OP is operating. There is a thermostat inside the furnace that automatically turns on the fan. I learn something every day. Thanks.
