Ultrasound techs monitor pregnancies and use high-frequency sound waves to view abnormalities in soft structures of the body. The association accredits 10 academic training programs in Canada. Graduates receive professional credentials from the Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Professionals, maintained by completing 10 hours of continuing education training annually.
