X-ray technicians produce x-ray images for diagnostic purposes.
X-ray technicians, also known as radiographers or radiologic technicians, are medical professionals trained to produce x-ray films (radiographs), for the diagnosis of medical problems. X-ray technicians also are responsible for radiation safety, so that unnecessary parts of the body are not exposed to potentially harmful radiation.

This limited medical radiologic technologist program covers topics in medical foundations, radiographic science and radiographic examination. Rochester Community and Technical College
Rochester Community and Technical College offers a radiography, or x-ray technology program that is designed to be completed in 24 months, with classes beginning in the fall semester of each year. Keiser University
Keiser University has an associate of science degree-program in radiologic technology, which teaches students the fundamentals and skills needed for entry-level positions in the field. Students learn produce radiographic images that are in accordance with standardized procedures and practices.
