Pregnancy Questions To Ask A Doctor

After you find out you are pregnant, arm yourself with a list of questions for your doctor. The more questions you ask, the better prepared you may feel and the more relaxed as well. Do not feel scared or nervous to ask questions, that is what your doctor is there for.

Prenatal Vitamins

Prenatal vitamins are important for a healthy pregnancy. If you are unsure what type is best for you, ask your doctor what hshe recommends. Your doctor should also explain that prenatal vitamins help in the development and health of the baby as well.

Weight Gain

Every woman wonders how much weight is healthy for a normal pregnancy. Ask your doctor at your first appointment, after your weight has been checked, what is right for you. Generally, doctors have an amount that is considered the norm for women who are not over- or underweight. If you are under- or overweight, your doctor may recommend a different amount.

Sex

For many pregnant women, sex might be the furthest thing from her mind, but for many others, sex can be a healthy part of pregnancy. Don't feel embarrassed to ask your doctor if sex is safe, how much is safe and if it will be safe the entire pregnancy. Your doctor should speak freely to you about this as well.

Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is common during pregnancy. If you are feeling queasy, don't hesitate to ask what can be done. If you are feeling fantastic and not the least bit ill and this is causing you some worry, ask your doctor if it's normal to not have any morning sickness. Your doctor should be able to answer your morning sickness questions.

Bleeding

Many women experience bleeding in the first trimester, but it can be very scary to a pregnant woman. If you experience any type of bleeding during your pregnancy, ask your doctor about what is normal and what is not.
