About Infrared Filters
Infrared filters remove visible light from a scene and detect the red light outside of the visible spectrum. Depending on the sizes of your lenses, you'll need to buy different filters for each lens. Most camera stores and online shops sell infrared lenses, which vary in price depending on the brand and size. Larger filters (for 62mm lenses and larger) are often more expensive than standard 55mm and 58mm filters.
Using Infrared Filters
Shooting in black-and-white mode works better for infrared photography because the infrared filter will strip most of the color information anyway. Experimentation is necessary, and it will take some time while shooting to learn the aperture and shutter settings that will give you the best results.
