Colleges In Rochester Minnesota

There are several colleges in Rochester, Minnesota.


Rochester, Minnesota--which known as the "Med City" since it is the home of the Mayo Clinic--has several small colleges offering two-year degrees through advanced post-doctorate degrees in numerous fields. Rochester was selected by Money Magazine as one of the top 100 Best Places to Live in the United States in 2006.


Rochester Community and Technical College


Rochester Community and Technical College offers an Association of Arts degree for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution. Coursework requires 64 credits in a variety of disciplines and the credits can transfer to any school in the nation. The Associates in Science degree requires 34 credits of coursework in preparation for transfer to a four-year school. The Associates in Applied Science degrees prepares students planning to head directly into the workforce. The Associates in Fine Arts degree is awarded for study in music or art.

Augsburg College-Rochester‎


Augsburg College is a Lutheran college that was established in 1869. It is located in the center of Rochester. It offers a wide variety of undergraduate majors in liberal arts and sciences. Some of its more unique programs include Nordic area studies, Norwegian language degrees, Medieval studies and metro-urban studies. Graduate degrees are offered in education, leadership, nursing, social work and business management.

Crossroads College


Formerly the Minnesota Bible College, Crossroads is a Christian College that offers general study liberal arts programs that culminate with an Associates or Bachelor's degree. The school also specializes in vocational ministries. Degree programs include Business Administration with an emphasis on sport management as well as counseling psychology, General Ministry, Music and Intercultural studies. The Knights participate in men's and women's soccer and basketball and compete in the NAIA and the Association of Christian College Athletics.

Mayo School-Health Sciences‎


The world-famous Mayo Clinic is based in Rochester, Minnesota. A teaching hospital, the clinic's Center for Translational Science Activities offers one of the world's preeminent postdoctoral master's degrees in clinical and translational science. Degrees offered at this institution include an early-career MD or PhD, as well as a clinical and translational science postdoctoral Master's degree. Mayo School of Health Sciences and the Rochester Community and Technical College have combined to offer an Associate in Applied Science Degree in clinical research coordination, a growing field that plays a crucial role in medical research.
