Find A Gynecologist In Maryland

Finding a gynecologist in Maryland is a relatively simple process. By taking advantage of resources including family and friends, organizational databases run by professional groups, the Maryland Board of Physicians or your insurance company, you will be able to obtain a referral to a gynecologist in Maryland quite easily.

Instructions

1. Ask friends or family members for gynecologist recommendations. If you're new to Maryland or are traveling within the state, ask coworkers or staff at your hotel who can help you find a doctor.

2. Use resources from the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. ACOG's database sorts doctors by city or town and allows you to search by state or zip code, so finding a gynecologist near you is relatively simple. ACOG also identifies doctors who are Fellows of the College, which means they have obtained certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

3. Visit the Administrators in Medicine "Find a Doctor" tool, which searches the Maryland Board of Physicians' database for doctors practicing medicine in the state.

4. Contact your health insurance provider and ask for a list of in-network gynecologists in Maryland. If you are visiting Maryland, your health insurance provider can help you find a local doctor who will accept your health insurance.
