Dress for the Racetrack


Before you head out the door to spend a day at the racetrack, make sure you are dressed appropriately. Most racetracks have specific dress codes for many of the track areas. Learn dress for the racetrack with the following steps. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Go to the track's website to find a posting of the dress code or call the track and ask. You may find that you will not be permitted into the grandstand area or some of the track restaurants if you are not dressed according to the code.


2. Dress in business casual. For women this consists of pantsuits, skirts or dresses. For men this would be slacks and a polo shirt, sweater or button-down shirt.


3. You will probably be doing quite a bit of walking around so comfortable shoes are a smart choice.


4. Wear clothes that are considered acceptable for events like a religious service, a nice dinner out or work in an office.


5. Most racetracks only have strict dress codes for certain areas of the track. If you are going only to the main area, you will be okay wearing regular street clothes. Jeans, t-shirts, flip flops or any other kind of shoe will all be acceptable there.
