The University of North Carolina offers a certificate program for radiology assistant that can be completed online. The program is designed to prepare students to perform patient assessments, image evaluations and radiology procedures. Students who enter this program must have a bachelor's degree and will enter the program in the spring semester. Some of the courses that will be completed during this program include Abdominal Imaging and Procedures, Advanced Pathophysiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging and Procedures as well as Thoracic Imaging and Principles, Research Methodology and Statistics and Practice Issues. The program lasts for two years and students who successfully complete this program will be able to take the national registry exam for certification as a Radiology Assistant.

Saint Joseph's College of Maine


Saint Joseph's College of Maine has an online degree program where students can obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiological Science. This program prepares students to work in teaching and supervisory positions in the departments and schools of radiology. The program is designed for students who have already completed a program in radiological science; if students are currently enrolled in a certificate program, they cannot complete the baccalaureate program until the certificate program has been completed. Students will take courses such as American Health Care Systems, Health Care Financial Management and Human Resources Management as well as Legal Aspects of Health Care Administration and Ethics in Health Care.

Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences


The Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences offers an online Bachelor of Science degree in Radiological Sciences. This program is designed for working professionals that are already imaging technologists who want to gain the skills and knowledge needed for professional growth. Students can continue to work full-time while furthering their education. The program lasts for six trimesters, or two years and include courses such as Principles of Quality Management, Clinical Aspects of Computed Tomography and Principles of Mammography as well as Clinical Aspects of Magnetic Resonance, Advanced Patient Care Issues and Issues and Trends in the Health Care Arena.
