Alleviate Breast Pain With Home Remedies

Alleviate Breast Pain With Home Remedies

Breast pain can be caused by any number of things, but the most common cause is hormone changes associated with the menstrual cycle. If you are experiencing breast pain, a remedy may be as close as your kitchen cupboard or bathroom closet.

Instructions

1. Soak a piece of flannel cloth in cold-pressed castor oil. Wring out the excess oil. Place the oil soaked cloth on your breast, cover with a plastic bag or piece of plastic wrap and apply a heating pad. You can set the heating pad on medium or high (if you can stand it) and leave it on as long as necessary to find relief.

2. Skip the heating pad and heat the flannel soaked in cold-pressed castor oil in the microwave, place it on your breast and then cover it with plastic and a towel to hold the heat in. Once the flannel gets cold, reheat it in the microwave and repeat as necessary.

3. Forget the oil. If you have a heating pad, but you don't feel like getting all glopped up with oil to remedy your breast pain, just use the heating pad straight on your breasts. Be careful you don't burn yourself by leaving it on too long, though.

4. Consider taking a hot shower or bath to remedy your breast pain, soaking your breasts for a good long time.

5. Forego the heat. If heat doesn't do the trick for you, try cold. You can apply pliable gel-style ice packs to your breasts for relief. Or you can place your hands under cold running water and hold them on your breasts. A cold shower on a hot day could work, too.
