Have you heard of the Walgreen's Register Rewards Program? It's an excellent program provided you know use it to the maximum benefit possible. Almost every week you can really get $10 to $15 of free stuff. I'm going to show you take advantage of the benefits they offer.
Instructions
1. The Program
First you have to have a general understanding of the Register Rewards program. It is pretty simple. Let's say you need to buy a toothbrush. At Walgreen's it may cost $2.99 and their ad shows there is a $2.00 reward. You buy the toothbrush for $2.99 and at checkout you get a reward coupon for $2.00 to use on your next purchase.
2. Weekly Ad
Each week Walgreen's puts out an advertisement that normally comes in the Sunday paper. If you don't subscribe you can always pick one up at your local Walgreen's or you can even look it up at Walgreen's.com. Scan the ad for items that have a register rewards description in the sales price. These are the items you are looking for. Each item you buy you will receive a coupon for the stated reward when you checkout to use for your next purchase.
3. Find the Right Items
Every week there are a few items that end up being free with the rewards you get. These are usually at the end of the advertisement. A few good examples from this week's ad were, Rembrandt Toothpaste for $5 with a $5 reward, Colgate toothbrushes for $2.99 with a $2.99 reward, Zone 6 blade razor for $3.99 with a $3.99 reward, and Carefree Pantiliners for $1.99 with a $1.99 reward. For the week you could spend $13.97 and get $13.97 to use on next week's deals. Each week there are different deals and you don't have to use your rewards right away. The rewards coupons last for a few weeks.
With the strain in the current economy, money is tight for everyone. Why not save $15 a week on items most people buy anyway. It may not be the coolest stuff around but it's usually things you need and the savings add up. Over a year you could get as much as $750 in free items. That's enough to cover a couple of car payments or even something fun like a weekend getaway.
