Radiologic technologists run x-ray machines in hospitals and doctor's offices.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that radiologic technicians in Kansas make an average of $46,190 per year as of May 2009. The BLS projects that employment of radiologic technicians will increase by about 17 percent through 2018, which means reliable and consistent job opportunities for trained and licensed individuals. Many Kansas community colleges offer two year training programs that give you an associate degree in applied science and make you eligible for the National Registry Examination for Radiologic Technologists.
