The Girl Scouts is a non-profit organization that helps young girls and teens develop a positive self-image and self-confidence. Girls Scouts enjoy trips, camping, fellowship with other girls, and earn badges for academic excellence. Every girl scout is also given ample opportunity to give back to the community by participating in community service programs. Girl Scout leaders help girls learn life skills and develop leadership qualities. The program is open to all girls from kindergarten through grade twelve. Girls in grades six through eight are called Girl Scout Cadettes, and the process is simple to get started with this organization.
