Crime scene technicians assist in law enforcement cases, collecting, analyzing and interpreting physical evidence. While available technology is not quite be on par with depictions on television and the movies, it is changing rapidly and a good education can help students keep up to date.

Also offered is a professional certificate program for students already with an associate's or bachelor's degree in related fields now seeking to become crime scene technicians. Carnegie Institute
The Carnegie Institute of Integrative Medicine has the approval of the American Academy of Forensic Science to offer an administration associate degree. Graduates are qualified to sit for an American College of Forensic Science (ACFS) designation as Certified Medical Investigator-II. Students gaining ACFS certification can qualify for Certified Medical Investigator-III designation after five years of employment in the forensic science field.
