Georgia has schools for medical coding and billing.
Jobs in the medical coding, billing and health information field are expected to increase by 20 percent between 2008 and 2018, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Medical coders should have little trouble finding a job, but first you must be trained. Coders must be accurate and precise, and the main coding systems used in the health care industry are complex. Georgia has schools where aspiring medical coders can receive training, certificates and degrees in the field.
