501(c)(3) charities are exempt from taxes and are tax-deductible for those who donate to the charity at any given time. These charities include religious organizations, scientific research, public safety testing, literary charities, educational charities, national or international sports competitions for amateurs, arts promotions, and organizations working to prevent cruelty to animals and children.

Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund


Located in Washington, D.C., the Vietnam Veterans Memorial lists names of those who served and those whose lives were lost in the Vietnam War. The fund preserves the memorial and the memory of those who served in Vietnam. The wall is meant to provide healing, memory-keeping and education about the war.
