Iodoral Thyroid Tumors

Many health issues can be caused if iodine levels in the body are not regulated properly. These issues can range from weight control problems to more serious tumor growth. Supplements designed to regulate iodine can sometimes be used to counteract this deficiency. One pill formulated for this purpose is Iodoral.

Purpose

Iodoral, which is made by the supplement company Optimox, is designed to increase iodine levels in the thyroid gland. Iodoral is intended to boost the thyroid process, which can lead to weight loss. Additionally, the supplement is sometimes recommended for helping fight fibroid tumors.

Thyroid Effects

Iodoral uses iodine to maximize the function of the thyroid. For people with hypothyroidism, weight is not lost properly. Increased iodine levels regulates the thyroid and allows it to function properly.

Tumor Effects

In some cases, the contents of Iodoral are also helpful in reducing the growth of fibroid tumors, including tumors that may be found on the thyroid. This is done by regulating creation of healthy cells, and compensating for iodine deficiencies.

Limitations

While Iodoral can have positive effects on tumor growth, it is not a complete solution. The supplement is effective for fighting tumors only when an iodine deficiency is the cause. Tumor reduction is slow, often taking several years with constant Iodoral treatment.

Dosage

In cases where Iodoral treatment is recommended to regulate iodine levels, daily supplements are taken in pill form, ranging between 5 and 50 milligrams per pill. As always, a doctor should be consulted before any treatment and to determine appropriate dosage levels.
