Find Grants For Healthcare Support

Find Grants for Health-Care Support

Millions of dollars are granted annually to thousands of organizations vying for a limited pool of dollars. The health-care arena, however, receives a significant portion of all the dollars that are offered. Finding these grants in health-care may be difficult for a novice, but with some basic research, an amateur may become an expert in no time.

Instructions

1. Try corporate donations. Many for profit companies offer dollars to non-profits and even individuals who can show a definite need for dollars in promoting health-care initiatives. Hoovers.com has an extensive listing of companies in America. This list may be filtered into industries to find companies that may be interested in a specific type of work.

2. Search for foundations. Private citizens and companies have created foundations to serve specific needs in the community. Many of these foundations support health-care efforts. Find a list of foundations at Foundations.org. This site will also provide criteria to narrow the search to health-care.

3. Gain access to government grants. The government is one of the largest granter of funds. Many of the goals of government grants are in line with promoting better health-care and experimenting with new policies and procedures. Find government grants at Grants.gov.

4. Check the competition. Grants are a very competitive market. Often, the decision to grant or not to grant dollars comes down to how well an organization communicates its needs to grantors. Knowing if organizations are looking for similar grants is a very helpful tool. Find these organizations at Guidestar.org.
