Boost A Tv Signal Using Rabbit Ears

"Rabbit Ears" is a traditional nickname for a standard TV antenna.

"Rabbit Ears" is a traditional nickname for a standard TV antenna. This type of antenna has two long, metal rods that you must position in order to pick up the broadcasting signal of a local television station. If you want to boost the strength of the signal being received by your rabbit ears, there are a few things you can do. This includes both physically moving the rabbit ears around your room as well as positioning the actual metal rods in the direction of the TV station you are trying to access.

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser.

2. Go to the television station location services at AntennaWeb.org.

3. Type your exact address or zip code into the box on screen and then click "Submit." This will display a map containing the locations of all location television stations in your area.

4. Position the metal rods on your TV antenna so that they are physically pointed towards these locations. This will result in a much stronger signal being received from that station.

5. Turn your TV on and tune to the station you are trying to receive. If the quality of the signal is still not to your liking, pick up your antenna and move it towards the direction that the TV station is located away from your home. This will further boost the strength of the signal being transmitted by that station.
